DESIGN THINKING (INME 5015)

Students will learn the Design Thinking methodology in the context of a project-based course in which the projects will address global or local basic human needs. Emphasis will be given in the course to the following design methodologies: user research, idea generation, prototyping, and Lean LaunchPad.

CONSUMER BEHAVIOR (MERC 4217)

Study the nature of consumer behavior through an analysis of consumer needs, attitudes, environment, and business influence. Students will learn to conduct adequate market research by learning the variables that influence a person’s self-concept, lifestyle and consumer behavior.

This course focuses on the process of starting and managing a business based on technology. It includes topics such as: Market Analysis, Product Design Specification (PDS), Prototyping, Proposal Preparation, Strategic Management, Product Cost, Manufacturing Issues and Business Model Preparation.
